APESAR DE VOCÊ: A ARTE COMO FORMA DE LIBERDADE DE EXPRESSÃO DURANTE A DITADURA MILITAR BRASILEIRA (1964-1985) - DOI: 10.12818/P.0304-2340.2014v64p25
Resumo
Este artigo tem a finalidade de mostrar como músicos e artistas tentaram burlar a censura denunciando as torturas e a falta de liberdade de expressão impostas pela Ditadura Militar ocorrida no Brasil utilizando a arte. De 1964 a 1985, o Brasil foi submetido a uma ditadura militar. Durante esses 21 anos, ocorreram sérias atrocidades aos direitos humanos:
prisões, desaparecimentos forçados, torturas, exílios, homicídios, banimentos, estupros, sevícias entre outras violências. A censura consiste no exame e controle das informações e pensamentos a que são submetidos trabalhos artísticos ou informativos, com base em critérios morais ou políticos, para decidir sobre a conveniência de serem ou não liberados para apresentação ao público em geral. A prática da censura leva diretamente à perseguição política daqueles que desejam exercer sua liberdade de expressão. A arte é o reflexo da sociedade. Desse modo, busca-se identificar a arte como forma encontrada pela classe artística para expressar sua liberdade, mesmo que subliminarmente. Em um Estado Autoritário, a primeira liberdade a ser retirada da população é a liberdade de expressão. Apesar da censura imposta durante o período, houve muita resistência e muitas manifestações contrárias ao regime ditatorial.

ABSTRACT
This article aims to show how musicians and artists tried to circumvent censorship denouncing torture and the lack of freedom of expression imposed by the military dictatorship that took place in Brazil using art. From 1964 to 1985, Brazil underwent a military dictatorship. Arrests, enforced disappearances, torture, exile, murder, banishment, rape, abuse and other violence. During these 21 years, serious human rights atrocities occurred. Censorship is the examination and control of information and thoughts they are subjected to artistic or informative, works on moral or political criteria, to decide on whether to be or not approved for presentation to the general public. The practice of censorship leads directly to political persecution of those who wish to exercise their freedom of expression. Art is a reflection of society. Thus, we seek to identify the art form as found by the artistic community to express their freedom even subliminally. In an authoritarian state, the first freedom to be drawn from that population is freedom of expression. Despite the censorship imposed during the period, there was much resistance and many demonstrations against the dictatorship.
