The article discusses the concept of
intercultural education as a right of
indigenous peoples, based on international
human rights law and the 1988 Constitution
of the Federative Republic of Brazil. It points
out that this concept of education is part
of the commitments made by the Brazilian
state in Agenda 2030 of the United Nations
Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
It investigates the relationship between
intercultural education and the improvement
of the protection system for territories in the
digital society, based on an interdisciplinary
approach that combines Special Rights,
Sociology and Education. Finally, it examines
the emerging issues arising from the digital
society and the challenges of training for
citizenship in the context of the increasing
digitalization of life and the power of global
technology agents.
