Abstract

Five decades after its first publication, Relação de Emprego: estrutura legal e supostos (1975), by Paulo Emílio Ribeiro de Vilhena, remains a significant reference for rethinking the subjec­tive scope of Labor Law in Brazil. By address­ing the challenges of its historical context, the book forged influential conceptual categories for understanding the employment relation­ship and continues to inform debates on legal responses to transformations in the organiza­tion of work.
