UMA OUTRA FACE DO TURISMO INTERNACIONAL: A REPRESSÃO À EXPLORAÇÃO SEXUAL DE MULHERES E CRIANÇAS E AO TRABALHO DEGRADANTE OU ANÁLOGO À ESCRAVIDÃO - DOI: 10.12818/P.0304-2340.2020v76p107
Resumo
Este estudo tem como objetivo investigar de que forma o turismo internacional, comumente associado a lazer e benefícios ao ser humano, é também usado como meio para fomentar violações de Direitos Humanos. São focadas as práticas da exploração sexual de crianças, mulheres e crianças, além de situações degradantes tanto com empregados diretos ou indiretos, quanto à população que circunvizinha os empreendimentos turísticos. Após a exposição dos respectivos contextos, são analisadas normas e iniciativas públicas e privadas para enfrentar cada uma destas violações. Quanto à metodologia, a pesquisa foi de natureza exploratória, utilizando abordagem qualitativa. Igualmente foi utilizada análise de documentos e normas nacionais e internacionais, além de revisão de referenciais bibliográficos. No que é pertinente às etapas de trabalho, primeiramente, buscou-se elementos fáticos para servir de fundamento para a argumentação fundamentada na pesquisa bibliográfica e de documentos e normas nacionais e internacionais. Sobre as considerações conclusivas, faz-se necessário uma maior efetivação das políticas estabelecidas especialmente nos ditames internacionais, além de uma participação mais contundente da iniciativa privada e do próprio turista em mitigar estas situações de violação dos Direitos Humanos.
