Abstract

The author reflects on the importance of historical analysis as an essential tool for legal comparison, as clearly demonstrated by studies on the circulation of legal models. Considering the plurality of methodological approaches in legal comparison, including the historical approach, the essay deals with the main moments of “meeting” and “clash” between Italian and French law.
