Abstract

There are several faces of globalization when analyzing its favorable or unfavorable aspects in contemporary times. Sometimes it appears as cruel, excluding those who are not part of this world created by it, sometimes as beneficial to those who are involved in its economic development system and feel included. In this sense, the present work seeks to approach the two vertices of this economic phenomenon, observing who are excluded and how they remain on the margins of this process, and on the other hand, the achievements brought by globalization to those who say they are included in this system. Finally, the relationship between globalization and the concept of citizenship, culture and human rights will be the central point of the work, demonstrating how the concept of citizenship is linked to multiculturalism, the feeling of belonging and the exercise of rights and duties in a given society. The deductive method of procedure and analysis and the technique of bibliographical research are used.
