Abstract

The objective of this study is to assess the undue political interference in the actions of the Federal Supreme Court in some of its rulings concerning the fight against corruption. The international and national regulations regarding corruption will be highlighted, particularly the impact of international norms on the Brazilian legal system. Accordingly, the legislative advancements will be emphasized in relation to the compliance with international anti-corruption treaties ratified by Brazil, as well as a brief analysis and critical assessment of national cases that have raised questionable situations before the Federal Supreme Court in corruption-related cases.
