Abstract

Artificial intelligence (AI) has arrived
to accelerate the legal outdatedness that
copyrights suffer in the national and
international context. The general objective of
this work is to analyze the effectiveness of the
copyright system in the face of unauthorized
use of AI. The methodology used has a
transdisciplinary approach, supported by
logical, historical, social, cultural and legal
methods, with a combination of methods
from social and legal sciences. As a result, it
was concluded that the use of works protected
by copyright by AI represents a threat to the
legal effectiveness of copyright infringements,
as existing legal mechanisms are insufficient
due to the use of technology. The contribution
of the study is focused on the discussion of
AI as a tool that disrespects copyright and
consequently calls into question the legal
system in terms of punishing committed
violations.
